There are many ways to help CDP or to get involved
These could be for the public or private sector. They could be developments of existing services or something completely new to suit your requirements. With over 25 years experience to draw on CDP has the knowledge and expertise in recovery and dependency to give you the right solution.

CDP welcomes all donations, of any value, towards its work, from individuals, and businesses. All donations go towards improving and developing our services.
Please go to our Become a Donor page to find out how you can donate, either on line or by post, using credit cards, cheques or direct debits, and how to use the Gift Aid scheme that will enable CDP to reclaim the tax on your donation.
CDP, like many charities has had volunteers in several areas who work alongside our professional staff. Currently, we have volunteers working in our Sex Workers Outreach Service.

The Trustees have ultimate responsibility for the running of any charity. They are all volunteers and meet, as a Board, once a month or so during the year.
CDP would welcome new Trustees who feel they have skills and experience to offer the charity. You do not have to have any background in dependency, but you should have a real commitment to improving services in this area.
The duties and responsibilities are defined by The Charity Commission, which is established by law as the regulator and registrar for charities in England and Wales. It approves and oversees the creation and operation of all charities in the country. You should spend time looking at their web site to familiarise yourself with the main issues.
Most importantly, on their home page, click on the heading in the Tool Bar called "Charity requirements & guidance". The select "Charity essentials" and from its menu click on "The essential trustee". Please follow any other links that their site suggests.
Our existing Trustees are listed under About Us, which you can find in our Tool Bar at the top of this page.
If you want to discuss becoming a Trustee, contact the Company Secretary:
